Acclaimed Dancer / Choreographer Kyle Abraham on campus first week of Winter Term

10 January 2025

Kyle Abraham and members of his company, A.I.M. were in residence in the Theater and Dance Department during Winter Term, from January 6-10, 2025.  The residency included a special advanced class with Kyle Abraham, a choreography workshop and classes taught by members of the A.I.M.  company.  While in residence, Kyle Abraham and his company premiered a new work, titled 2×4, as part of a lecture demonstration in the Weitz Center Theater.

The residency was made possible by The Ward Lucas Lecture Series in the Arts which was established by the family and friends of Ward Lucas. The intent of the Lucas lectureship is to invite only individuals who have distinguished themselves in the actual practice of the art about which they are to speak.  Special thanks to Steve Richardson, Director of the Arts at Carleton.
