ITS needs to perform vendor-mandated maintenance, starting with CS Gold (OneCard) July 3rd and Advance, OnBase, and the Protected Drive over this weekend. Each of these services will be unavailable for about 12 hours. About twenty other services will have shorter outages next week.
OnBase Maintenance: July 3rd
– 12pm – OnBase unavailable
– 3pm update – OnBase now fully functional.
CS Gold Maintenance: July 3rd
– 5am – CS Gold unavailable
– 5:15pm update – CS Gold migration is completed
Protected Drive: July 4th
– 9am update – Protected Drive files are unavailable
Advance: July 5th
What is happening:
The work will involve moving these services from one virtualization platform to another. During the transition, the service will be unavailable. The four services being migrated July 3-6 have a large amount of data, which results in a longer transfer (and therefore longer outage). ITS will document the shorter outages for other services, on the day they will happen, using this publicly available Service Outage webpage.
Services that will NOT be impacted include the Google Suite (Gmail, etc), Workday, and Moodle.
What do you need to do:
If you notice that a service is unavailable, please wait or visit the service outage webpage or contact the Helpdesk (507-222-5999 or helpdesk@carleton.edu).
If you have any questions, please contact jscannell@carleton.edu.
