ITS Equipment Checkout

Equipment checkout at Carleton provides short-term loans of audio and visual equipment to the Carleton community for purposes ranging from social or club events to small AV projects outside of AV-specific courses (CAMS, Music, etc.).

Equipment is available for 3 or 7-day checkout periods depending on the type of equipment. Extensions are not available and all equipment must be returned to ITS before it may be checked out again. All checkouts are on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations may be made up to 90 days in advance.

Equipment from the ITS equipment checkout is not intended to be used for significant academic, administrative, or off-campus work.

Availability of equipment is never guaranteed.

Hours

Drop-in hours during terms: Mon-Fri 10am – 4:30pm
Breaks: by appointment only

Checkout procedures:

  • Request a reservation by:
  • We will discuss available options over the phone, in person, or via the ticket created.
  • Once the exact equipment needed is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation of the reservation with your date of pickup.
  • Come to the ITS Helpdesk to pick up your equipment during drop-in hours or at your arranged appointment time.
  • Return your equipment by the end of the reservation period to the ITS Helpdesk.

Special Note for Students: All equipment checked out by students will be due back by the last day of classes each term no matter the maximum allowed checkout length for items listed below. Equipment checkout will be closed to students between the last day of a term’s classes and the official beginning of the break for that term.

PLEASE NOTE: 3-day items checked out on Wednesday or Thursday must be returned before the weekend.

IMPORTANT: Only one item of any given type is available per checkout (one camera kit, one PA system, one projector, etc.)
