Faculty Traveling Internationally

If you are planning international travel during the summer, please fill out this form. If you encounter any travel-related challenges leaving or returning to the United States, the Provost’s Office will be able to provide confirmation to immigration and border control agents about your ongoing employment at Carleton College as well as to offer you referrals for other forms of support, should they prove necessary. Please indicate whether the travel involves Carleton funding or personal travel. Faculty who are not US citizens should check the guidance on the immigration response website. If you have questions after reviewing this information, please contact the Provost’s Office and we can connect you with our immigration attorney.

Call for Proposals: 2025–26 IFF Screenings and Colloquiums

The International Film Forum (IFF) warmly invites faculty to submit proposals for film screenings and potential colloquiums for the 2025–26 academic year. The IFF is a collaborative initiative supported by the Carleton departments of Arts, Cinema and Media Studies, and Languages. Dedicated to the viewing and study of international cinema, the Forum hosts weekly screenings on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at the Weitz Center. These events are free and open to students, faculty, and community members alike.

We welcome proposals that align with your teaching or research interests and are happy to help integrate selected films into your courses. The Forum also organizes discussions with visiting filmmakers and co-sponsors a range of campus film festivals. We look forward to working with you to incorporate screenings into your curriculum, support filmmaker visits, and enrich the broader academic and cultural environment at Carleton.

For Fall 2025 screenings, we invite you to submit your proposal by August 15, 2025, to allow ample time for planning and scheduling. If you’re interested in programming for the Winter or Spring terms, please feel free to reach out at any time—advance notice is always appreciated. For questions or to submit proposals, please contact Prof. Jay Beck at jbeck@carleton.edu. For more information, please visit the IFF website.
