Non-Senior Closing
Residential Halls and Houses close at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 10 for all First Year, Sophomore, and Junior students. Seniors remain in their Spring Term rooms through to Graduation.
Exemption: Non-senior students who have applied and been approved for Commencement Week Housing may remain in their Spring Term room. Further instructions will be shared via email with approved students.
Spring Term Closing for Non-Seniors (Tuesday, June 10)
The Residential Halls and Houses close at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 10.
Unless a student has applied and been approved for Commencement Week Housing, all First Year, Sophomore, and Junior class students must vacate campus by this time.
Please complete the following checklist by 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 10 to fulfill the check out requirements. An improper check out may result in a fee.
- Remove all of your belongings from your room.
- Remove all trash and recyclables to outside containers and clean your room.
- Empty, defrost, and clean the College-owned micro-fridge assigned to your room. View Cleaning Instructions.
- Close and lock windows (including storm windows).
- Put your key into the yellow Key Return Envelope and deposit into the closest Express Key Box. Envelopes will be taped to your door.
*The last person to vacate the room will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks outlined on the checklist have been completed. Sign door tag prior to departing campus to signal to the RA that your room is ready to check.
Storage
Students utilizing storage MUST have current storage stickers on each box/container AND must be present when storing their belongings. Stickers can be purchased at the Bookstore. NO FURNITURE of any kind can be stored in the facilities. View the Student Storage information to learn important storage parameters and available Spring Term Closing Storage Hours.
We highly encourage students to begin storing as soon as possible. Students can store in multiple locations on different days to avoid storing all belongings in a single trip. Students planning to store items on Tuesday, June 10 can expect long lines, limited space, and potential elevator/access delays.

All Senior students and non-seniors who are approved for Commencement Week Housing must fully vacate their Spring Term housing location at this time.

Seniors who have personal belongings in storage must remove them by Friday, May 30 to make space for Spring Term Closing for Non-Seniors. To do so, schedule a storage appointment today! Items remaining after this date may be donated or discarded.
Non-seniors who are leaving on Commencement Day should view available Student Storage Hours. Space will be limited and therefore the posted location may change.

Pending Summer Section Housing Request
Students who have been approved for any section of summer housing (June 10-September 13) will receive a detailed confirmation email outlining the terms of their reservation. To request Summer Housing, do so by May 12 to be considered.
Summer Section I (Commencement Week Housing: June 10 – June 14)
Summer Section II (Summer Break: June 16 – August 24)
Summer Section III (Early Arrival: September 2 – start of classes)
The information below is a summary of what Spring Term Closing may look like for students who have applied for any section of summer housing. More specific instructions will be sent in a confirmation email to approved students.
Anticipated Departure Information for Approved Summer Section Students
Students who are ONLY approved for Summer Section II must vacate their Spring Term housing assignment and return the key by 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 10. Students will then be rehoused in the summer housing building (Myers Hall) beginning on their approved arrival date.
Students who are ONLY approved for Summer Section III must vacate their Spring Term assignment and return the key by 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 10.
Students who are ONLY approved for Summer Section I should remain in their Spring Term housing assignment and vacate and return the key by 2:00pm on the date listed in their confirmation email.
Students who are approved for consecutive housing beginning with Summer Section I and into Summer Section II should remain in their Spring Term housing assignment until Friday, June 13 at which point they will move to their summer housing (Myers Hall) assignment. Students who are working for ARO, SLAI, or CLAE can expect to move on Monday, June 16 since they will be housed in different buildings.
