Our Speech and Presentation Coaches are ready to help you practice and prepare for class discussions, presentations, comps talks, and any other public speaking opportunities you may have! To meet with an ASC Speech and Presentation Coach, log into the Writing Center’s appointment system and schedule a meeting with any consultant identified as a “Speech and Presentation Coach.”
Speech and Presentation Coaches can support you with:
- drafting, organizing, and revising a script
- maintaining pace and clarity throughout your presentation
- tailoring your content for a particular audience
- effectively using Google Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva, and other presentation programs
- having positive body language and maintaining eye contact with an audience
- making a persuasive impact
- eliminating filler words (like um/uh and like) and fidgeting that could detract from your presentation
